On Sunday 4th October a conservation session took place at West Hill Chalk Pit, Corfe.

A conservation session took place at our Church Lane Todber site on 10 June removing, vegetation to expose the type section of the Todber Freestone.
The group had a successful morning at Todber on Sunday 22 March, working on the Bird’s Quarry site (Hanson’s Depot) cleaning up the rock face where Jurassic Corallian oolitic limestone is exposed.

Further information on the geology can be found on the DIGS sites pages. We hope to extend the accessible rock face on 10 June to a second face at right angles to the first helping with further geological interpretation.
