DESCRIPTION:Geological site clearance in Great Wood near Adscombe\, off the A39\, 2 or 3 miles SW of Nether Stowey. Thursday 19th March\, starting at 10am. \nPart of the programme of Quantock Countryside Volunteers (QCV) which is run by Quantock AONB and the National Trust who provide tools etc and cover the H&S aspects of the work. \nThere are three sites\, two of which require vegetation\, scrub and small trees to be removed and one which will be mostly digging. \nif you haven’t visited before\, it is a good area to discover the local Devonian geology\, and we may find something of interest. \nContact Garry Dawson\, of the Somerset Geology Group. if you wish to attend.
